The event has finally ended for me which means work's over. That should be a good thing right? But the truth is.. i'm feeling a little disappointed. Work was really fun and interesting with my secondary school buds and the processing guys i met two weeks ago. It's like almost the entire time we were working yet enjoying ourselves by filling half the LT with jokes, laughter and "nonsensical" activities. Yes, where can u find such "ideal" working environment where work and play could brighten the time spend there. Don't get me wrong, we did control our actions when there were customers around. However, i feel that we were too rowdy on a few occasions. Anyway, these would be one of those time where work could be in such a manner, i doubt there will be a second time.
Moving on, like most of the times.. such exposure gives me a whole lot of different perspective and a glimpse of the reality of life. It's worth it. Why? You get paid and the experience. For instant, i guess some of us do not know how fortunate we have been. For example, what we have been taking for granted like owning/sharing a desktop/laptop at home and being able to surf the net as and when we want to. I happen to meet this customer (singaporean) and he was going to be freshman. I could tell that he got no idea what i was explaining to him from the very start. I'm quite sure he had limited exposure to the world of IT. I had to show him what Internet Explorer was for and i even told him to double click in order to get to the internet. Well, some might say that that's like only one such case in a hundred. But still, we should be grateful we weren't that one.
